We cordially invite you to attend JCHRMA’s in-person or virtually, our August 10th Manager’s and Supervisor’s morning training event: “RISKY BUSINESS – INVESTIGATING AND DOCUMENTING EMPLOYMENT MATTERS”, facilitated by JCHRMA’s own, Bob Gregg, from Boardman & Clark, LLP.

“We are going Hybrid to include as many distance participants as we can, please join us!”
As HR professionals, we understand the importance of solid documentation and proper investigations in avoiding legal pitfalls and creating a positive workplace culture. This presentation will assist in building your skills in these areas, ensuring that you are better equipped to navigate the ever-changing landscape of HR and employment matters.
This program addresses the legal and practical aspects of conducting fair and valid investigations and documenting disciplinary actions, complaints, and other employment-related issues.

The course provides practical instruction on planning, fact-finding, witness interviewing, and documentation. There is a strong emphasis on following proper procedures, maintaining confidentiality and privacy, avoiding defamation, and avoiding personal liability for simply fulfilling job responsibilities.

In today's increasingly litigious business environment, potential legal disputes regarding employment issues can be costly and time-consuming. Hence, attending this presentation with your supervisor, can help both of you with invaluable information and resources for business owners and HR professionals alike.
