Part One: Inclusive Language

This workshop will help those who are confused by DEI terminology and are afraid of saying the wrong thing. We will discuss communication strategies and inclusive language to use with your visitors and colleagues. We will also examine common unintended microaggressive terms and provide effective alternatives, recommendations, and best practices to create workplaces that are affirming for everyone.

During this meeting, the speaker will help us:

  • Describe inclusive strategies for the workplace
  • Identify problematic phrases and recommend more inclusive language options
  • Recall best practices for allyship
