Work can bring meaning and well-being to our lives. It can provide us with the ability to support ourselves and those we love as well as meaning, personal and professional growth, and a sense of community. When people succeed and feel a sense of belonging and safety in the workplace, they are likely to experience better overall wellness. Helping employees to navigate difficult times and crises is essential to supporting their overall wellbeing, physically and emotionally. In this session, you will learn strategies to promote employee resilience, how to locate appropriate crisis resources, and ways to prepare for and actively support employees during times of crisis.
After participating in this session, attendees should be able to:
- Describe practical strategies which positively impact employee resilience and well-being and prevent crisis.
Implement interventions to engage leadership and employees in collaborative processes to prevent crisis and address crisis events when they occur. - Effectively use 211 as a tool to prevent employee crisis as well as a tool to support leaders and employees during times of employee crisis.
