The importance of investigating employment issues has never been greater, as emphasized by the EEOC’s extensive 2024 Guidance on Harassment and cases assessing personal liability against supervisors and HR managers for improper investigations and documentation. The discipline process requires pre-disciplinary investigation of performance, harassment, work rule or other job violations. Employees who are disciplined have rights and often appeal or sue. How the investigation was performed often becomes the object of legal challenge and liability for the investigator, personally.

During this meeting, the speaker will help us:

  • Navigate the EEOC’s 2024 Guidance on Harassment and its impact on investigations.
  • Conduct legally sound workplace investigations to prevent liability.
  • Avoid common investigation mistakes that could lead to legal challenges.
  • Understand personal liability risks for HR professionals and supervisors.
