Massive retirements due to Baby Boomers “aging out.” Younger leaders taking over. Limited exposure to senior leadership in today’s workplace. Younger leaders with plenty of skills - strengths in technology; social media platforms, and a different perspective. Add to that remote work, flexibility, DEI, role of the hiring manager, artificial intelligence, and traditional business practices and someone might say, “You need to calm down!!” So, shake it off . . . Bring your friendship bracelets!!
During this meeting, the speaker will help us:
-
Understand the demographics driving change
-
Develop strategies for addressing the generational “changing of the guard”
-
Better understand the balance of power between what employees want and what employers can give
-
Learn new approaches to talent acquisition and retention
More about the Speaker:
Talent attraction is like the weather—everyone talks about it, but can anyone actually do something about it? Jim Morgan has spent the last 30 years proving that the answer is yes. As a recognized leader in workforce strategy, he helps employers understand how shifting demographics impact talent acquisition and provides solutions based on best practices.
Jim has facilitated strategic planning sessions for businesses, chambers of commerce, and economic development groups, helping them build stronger talent pipelines. His engaging keynote presentations—delivered to audiences ranging from 50 to over 1,000—blend data, research, real-world experiences, and humor, making complex workforce challenges both insightful and approachable.
Throughout his career, Jim has led statewide initiatives to address Wisconsin’s talent shortage, facilitated business-education partnerships, and conducted research on what makes communities attractive places to live and work. He holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
When he’s not shaping the future of the workforce, you might find Jim on the volleyball court, coaching at Verona Area High School—or continuing his mission to bridge the gap between employers and talent.
