Grief is an inevitable part of life, yet its emotional toll in the workplace can lead to decreased productivity, absenteeism, & strained relationships. This presentation explores the challenges employees face when returning to work and how a grief-inclusive culture can offer the support needed. By creating an environment where individuals feel encouraged to come to work for connection and care, organizations can transform the experience of grief into an opportunity for resilience and growth.

More about the Speaker: 

Jill Kottmeier, RN & Thanatologist, has dedicated her career to providing compassionate bereavement care to patients, families & staff. Recognizing the profound impact of death & trauma on healthcare workers, she developed a program for employee grief support & a crisis response team which now serves the Endeavor Health System. Through these initiatives, Jill formalized her role in supporting the wellbeing of hospital staff, addressing grief in the workplace, & providing education for leaders.
